Crochet Pattern: Boho Backpack

Free Crochet Pattern: Easy to make boho backpack purse | The Chilly DogI love handmade purses and bags! I think they are a great way to show off your personality and tote your stuff around. I actually have quite a collection in my own closet - just ask my husband.

Some of my favorite bags have a simple, clean, casual design. This pattern embodies that idea. It's a great everyday bag and can be worn as a backpack or over one shoulder like a purse.

The bag is unlined, but since the pattern stitch creates a fairly dense fabric, there's no need to worry about small items slipping out.

I used grey yarn because it's neutral and goes with just about everything. If you're feeling bold, the yarn is available in a variety of beautiful shades. You can check out different yarn colors at the affiliate link below.

Starting at the back of the bag where  there is a diagonal gap between the drawstring spaces, pull the drawstring from the outside of the bag towards the inside on both sides of the gap to cover it.
Weave the ends of the drawstring up and down through the drawstring round to the front of the bag. Tie a knot in each end of the drawstring.

Since the yarn is 100% acrylic, your bag is machine washable. Just follow the care instructions on the yarn label.
