Tutorial: Silhouette Christmas Card

Create a special reindeer Christmas card with Tombow adhesive, a Silhouette Cameo and love!I love my Silhouette Cameo! I bought it just over two years ago and I can hardly begin to list all of the things I have made with it. I enjoy creating many of my own designs, but when I am pressed for time, I don't mind purchasing a design from the Silhouette Design Store. Most are $0.99 or less, so even if I only use a design for one project, it's still a reasonable deal.

In the past, I have always been hesitant about purchasing designs with very fine details. I have no doubt that my Cameo would cut them perfectly. However, I haven't really found an adhesive that can cleanly stick fine flourishes of paper.

This year, when I wanted to make a few Christmas cards for special friends, I decided to try the sample of Mono Aqua Liquid Glue I received a couple months ago from Tombow USA. Thank you Tombow!! I completed this project without getting a single drop of glue on my fingers or work surface.

Directions

Use your Silhouette Cameo to cut the design. Cut the overlay from colored cardstock and the insert from white.
Fold both the overlay and insert in half on the score lines.
Apply glue to the back side of the overlay design using the fine "pen tip" side.
Look how neatly the glue can be applied on all the swirly parts.

Position the insert and press it to the overlay.
Apply glue to the solid side of the overlay using the larger "broad tip" side. Press the insert to the overlay.

Let the glue dry and you are ready to send a holiday greeting to the special people on your Christmas list.
