One Row Button Holes

An easier, neater and sturdier way to knit a button hole.

For many, many years, I used a traditional two row buttonhole in my cardigan sweater knitting. The process is easy to understand and it creates a decent result. Then I ventured out of my knitting comfort zone to try something new and I'll never look back. The one row buttonhole is, in my opinion, sturdier, neater, and just as easy to knit.
