Twin and Triplet Stitch Knit and Purl

A short row turning stitch where two or three loops emerge from one lower stitch.

When it comes to sock knitting, it's no secret that I'm a big fan of shadow wrapped short row heels and toes. I love them because creating the special turning stitch, known as the twin stitch, is fairly simple to understand.

Ultimately, a twin stitch is a stitch where two loops, or twin loops, emerge from the same lower stitch. Likewise, a triplet stitch is a stitch where three loops are coming out of the same lower stitch.
