Casting on Two at a Time Socks Top-Down

Arranging your stitches on one needle or two.

Most sock knitters are familiar with the dreaded "Second Sock Syndrome". It happens when you finish knitting one sock but it takes an eternity to knit the second sock. This ailment can be prevented by knitting your socks two at a time.

Two at a time (2aaT) socks can be worked either on one long circular needle or on two circular needles. The trick is getting your stitches properly arranged on the needles when you cast on.
