There's something simply elegant about the flower toe for hand knit socks because it is both pretty and functional. The unconventional shaping is much more anatomical than the traditional wedge that is so commonly called for in knitting patterns.

Before You Begin
The flower toe is knit in two parts. First, the (four) petals. Then, a central swirl.
