When working in Stockinette stitch - knit on the right side, purl on the wrong side - the slip, slip, knit (ssk) and slip, slip, purl (ssp) are both decreases that slant to the right on the right side and the left on the wrong side.
Before You Begin
For the most part, decreases are made on the right side of your fabric. However, there are situations when you need to decrease on the wrong side instead.
