While walking near the water one day, I couldn’t help but wonder if fish play. River water rushed through a tube and into the slough where schools of fish swam into the oncoming torrent. Their bodies shimmered and flashed as the groups raced past each other just to be forced back by the oncoming gush of water. Rather than retreating, the fish regrouped and repeated their movements again and again, never tiring and almost seeming to enjoy the feel of the rough current washing against their slippery bodies.
