I am fascinated by moss! Its soft, lush, and often vibrantly colored. When we lived in the Sonoran Desert, moss was noticeably absent from the landscape. However, here in the south, moss is everywhere. It anchors itself on bricks and landscape borders. Moss seemingly pops out of every crack and crevice. Sometimes when I am out walking I have to stop myself from bending over and touching every inviting little patch of moss. If I didn't, I would hardly make it past the end of the driveway.
Even though I don't run my fingers across every clump of moss, it always catches my eye and sometimes I can't resist snapping a picture.
