Help! How do I get support?
If you are having problems with the site, notice any broken links or just need to get in touch, contact our support team.
We love collaborations! Industry professionals, shops, and textile/fiber arts guilds may submit proposals or request information about professional design services, technical editing, teaching events, speaking opportunities, etc.
Patrons (paid members) with questions about a specific lesson/article on the site can leave us a note in the comments of that lesson/article and we will respond as soon as possible.
Do companies pay you to use their products?
Nope. We just use the products we like. However, we build relationships with trusted collaborative partners , who offer products we love and they generously provide us with yarn, knitting needle and notion support.
Why can't I become a Patron (paid member) to access some of the site content?
Maintaining The Chilly Dog as a membership website is no longer a viable option. The creation of new Patron accounts has been disabled and current Patron memberships will expire on August 1, 2026.
What benefits will Patrons (paid members) receive through August 1, 2026?
All paid memberships will expire on August 1, 2026. Until then, Patrons will still be able to:
- Unlock over 300 ad-free knitting lessons in our library
- Receive a complimentary pattern every 5-6 weeks
- Participate in our monthly knitting round table meet-up via Zoom for encouragement, insights and guest speakers from within the fiber arts industry
- Ask questions and get priority support by leaving a note in the comments on any post.
What happens when my annual membership expires?
You will receive a reminder email 2-4 weeks before your membership expires and auto-renews. All auto-renewed memberships will be pro-rated through August 1, 2026, when they will permanently expire.
You can sign-in to your account to cancel your membership.
How do I cancel my paid membership?
You can cancel at any time by logging into your account and tapping the "cancel" button. Canceling means your membership won't auto-renew. However, you will still have access to all of your membership privileges until the end of your current membership period.
If you have any problems, contact member support and we'll get it taken care of. Memberships are non-refundable.
Who handles my credit card payments?
Patron payment information is securely processed by Stripe. We never see, or have access to your credit card information.
When I login, I see a tiny picture on my account page. Where did it come from, and how can I change it?
We use the globally recognized Gravatar system for member profile images. Head over to Gravatar to create or update your member avatar. This image will also display on any other Gravatar-enabled website.
Where do I find the patterns I purchased from the pattern shop?
Our website and pattern shop are hosted on two different platforms. You can find information about your previous pattern purchases by logging into your customer account on our pattern shop site.
