Interlock Bind Off for 1x1 Ribbing
For years, I avoided using sewn bind offs because I was afraid they would create a sloppy looking edge to my knitting. Boy, was I wrong! The interlock bind off creates a nice looking, stretchy edge that works wonderfully for toe up socks.
One of the benefits to using an interlock bind off for sock cuffs is that the bound off edge doesn't flare out like it can with elastic or lace bind offs. The downside is this method takes longer to work. In my opinion, it's still well worth the time.
