Most of the time my weaving is based on something I've personally seen or experienced. However, there are times when another artwork is the seed of inspiration.

A couple years ago my brother in law gave us a stunning photograph he captured along Alabama's gulf coast. It's a scene you might see along any stretch of shoreline, a pier extending across the beach into the ocean. I love the stark angles and the contrast of the sun beaming through the broken clouds. It's edgy and moody.
