The German twisted CO, also known as the old Norwegian CO and elastic long tail CO, has more elasticity than a standard long tail cast on but still creates a firm edge that holds it's shape. It's a versatile, all-purpose cast on that works especially well for top-down socks or just about any ribbed cuff.
