Picot Bind Off for 1x1 Rib

I like using the picot bind off for sock cuffs with knit 1, purl 1 ribbing because it adds a decorative flair and a structural flare because the fabric edge gets wider just like my leg gets wider as you move further away from the ankle.
Because this bind off causes the cuff to flare, there’s a couple things you should remember. First, this bind off looks better when you’re actually wearing your hand knit sock. It may make the cuff edge look a little droopy in it’s unworn state. Second, because the picot bind off naturally flares, in most cases you’ll want to go down one or two needle sizes as you’re binding off stitches to keep things neat.
