If you want to perk up your plain old stockinette stitch, why not try a triple knot? It's a relatively easy stitch to make and it can add texture and dimension to your fabric.

Before You Begin
A triple knot is simply a p3tog, k3tog, p3tog all worked into the same 3 stitches. Depending on how you space the knots, you could create rows of knots, columns of knot or even offset your knots.
