Emily Ocker's Circular Cast On

If you are a crocheter and know how to start a project with a magic ring, you are going to love Emily Ocker's circular cast on. It can be used to cast on a small number of stitches in the round. This cast on works well for toe up socks, top down hats or mittens, circular shawls and even bags.

You're going to need a crochet hook for this cast on. Don't worry, though. You don't necessarily need to know how to crochet. Also, be aware that this method can be slightly bulkier than an invisible, or disappearing circular cast on.
