Increasing by knitting or purling below the next stitch.
Increasing by knitting or purling below the next stitch.

Although it's not as popular as other knit increases, stitches can often be added by either knitting or purling into the stitch below the next stitch on your left needle. It creates an effect that's very similar to a lifted increase, but some knitters find it easier to manipulate.
