Twining in the Round
Twining is a Scandinavian knitting technique usually done with two alternating colors. The knit side looks rather plain, but the purl side has an interesting design create by twisting the yarns around each other between each stitch.
Usually you twist the yarns in one direction for an entire round and then the opposite direction for an entire round to create a sort of zig-zag. However, if you change the twist every few stitches you can create stacked diamond patterns.
