Why Wool for Dryer Balls
I get a lot of great fiber and knitting questions from friends and followers, so today I am reaching into the proverbial mail bag to answer one.
I’m looking for an answer but can‘t find one. Maybe you can help me. I’ve got a lot of scrap pieces of wool and want to make dryer balls with it, but it is not 100% wool. Is it really necessary to use 100% wool or can you use any kind of wool that you can crochet around to form a ball? Why exactly is it necessary to use 100% wool except for the all natural way to go?
Thanks,
Retha
The short answer is yes, you really need to use 100% wool and it shouldn't be blended with anything else because wool felts and other fibers don't.
The longer answer....
