Growing Season

Since moving to rural-ish Alabama, whenever I drive from our to home I pass multiple farmers' fields. Even if only a few days have passed between excursions, there are noticeable changes in the local fields of cotton, corn and beans. Soil is tilled. Seeds are sown. Plants grow. Fields are harvested. The earth freezes. Crops change. The cycle repeats.

After considering colors while working on my Growing Season Study, I began a larger scale geometric representation of the concept.

Each of the 8 planned horizontal sections, divided by dark brown furrows, will represent change in the field.

Row by row, the seasons in the field grow.
